As the sun sets on our Summer season I would like to thank all the guests old and new that visited us. The children kept me smiling on farmers rounds and we have had many memorable pizza nights. Thanks to the Brownscombe team for all their hard work keeping our site and accommodation in tip top condition. If you have stayed at Brownscombe you will know how much we strive to make sure that you have a wonderful holiday, but the one thing I can’t control is the weather! Last year we closed the Safari Tents in September, as I was worried about the unpredictable winds and temperature in October. In the past we have had some glorious half terms when it has been mild, dry and very halloweeny! So this year I have just opened up our Tent bookings for October but if you don’t fancy the weather with a week to go before your booking, or we think it is too cold or wet for you; we will give you a 100% no quibble refund for your holiday. So if you want to book, it is available, there will be pizza’s and pumpkin carving over half term and we would love to see you 🎃🍕🦉🦇 #lasthurrah #octoberhalfterm #familyholiday #devonglamping

Happy wedding anniversary to my long suffering husband Andrew! He still has a real job in London, which he points out every time I ask him for help fixing things, heavylifting or help with Pizza night! We were married at Brownscombe over 30 years ago and how lovely that we have welcomed a couple on their honeymoon here today. Having had summery glimpses, I am still keeping everything crossed for ☀️this summer. If it does rain there is still plenty to do at Brownscombe; book private dining in our Lodge, a relaxing treatment in the Welllness room, challenge the kids to a ping pong tournament or hide in the barn and sneak in some WiFi! We have just one tent free with an electric hot tub on 19th July for 3 nights and on 30th August for 3 nights, otherwise plenty of availability in September #devonglamping #luxuryglamping #wellness

What a wonderful half term we have had welcoming a mix of old friends and first time Glampers. Games of French cricket and football in the field, sheep shearing and farmers rounds, pizza nights and lots of hot tub action with some memorable barn owl sitings.
